Anonymity

Your data stays yours

  • Constituent identities are never disclosed — to allocators, to other managers, to anyone
  • Only counts, aggregate assets and distributional statistics are published
  • No fund-level data is redistributed
  • The confidentiality rule is published in the methodology, not asserted here

Positioning

See your true peer group

  • Ranked against funds actually pursuing your strategy
  • Percentile on return, volatility, drawdown and consistency
  • Classification by rule, not by self-description
  • Evidence you can take into allocator conversations

Inclusion

Index constituency

  • Meet the criteria and you are included by rule
  • 18-month track record, $50 million minimum AUM
  • Constituents fixed annually, so membership is stable
  • No fee, no negotiation, no editorial discretion

Analytics

Beyond the benchmark

  • Factor and exposure decomposition
  • Correlation to peers and to markets
  • Behaviour in equity drawdowns
  • Reporting you can share with prospects

We are not a data vendor

PivotalPath does not sell or redistribute fund-level data. What we publish is index-level: constituent counts, aggregate assets, year-on-year overlap, and the performance of the peer group as a whole.

An allocator using our indices can see that a strategy returned 9% with a 5% drawdown. They cannot see which funds are in it, and neither can your competitors.

This is a rule, published in the methodology, applied without exception — including to constituents themselves.

How inclusion works

There is nothing to negotiate. A fund with an 18-month track record and $50 million in assets, assessed on 1 January, is a constituent of its peer group for that year. No fee, no application, no editorial call.

Constituents are fixed for the calendar year, so membership does not change because a month went badly.
