Macro Funds Set to Rebound from Severe Rout

 

Are things looking up for Macro funds? Jon Caplis shares some thoughts with FundFire on the rebalancing that’s taking place.

While Macro funds had a great year in 2022, many hit some significant roadblocks early this year. As Jon notes, “rebalancing efforts by investors may be the best opportunity for macro managers to win assets over the rest of the year. I think the big institutional players have been rebalancing, but not making a lot of new allocations this year – not because they’re disillusioned with [macro], but because the strategy has done pretty much what people expected.
