Sam Jacob is experienced in capital raising, consulting and financial advisory services for clients in financial services, technology, healthcare processing, entertainment and business intelligence and active as a private investor. He was advisor to the CEO at trueEx, the world’s first CFTC-designated, Dodd-Frank compliant exchange for interest rate swaps.
Sam is currently advisor to the CEO of KraneShares which provides global investors with ETFs for the next wave of China’s development. He is also a Partner at Atrevida Partners, a private asset management firm focused on preserving and enhancing clients’ wealth by investing in alternative investments.
Previously, Sam was Vice-Chairman of Emigrant Savings Bank in New York as well as Chairman and CEO of Emigrant Mortgage Company and Emigrant Funding Corp. Sam was also a Managing Director at JP Morgan/Chase where he was responsible for relationships with banks, central banks and finance companies globally.
Additionally, Sam spent 16 years at Bankers Trust in the US, Europe and Asia. He was a Partner and Senior Managing Director holding numerous positions including Head of Global Fixed Income Sales and Deputy Head of the Asia Merchant Bank. Sam was also a senior member of a small team that pioneered credit derivatives and executed the first credit swap.
Sam is a Co-Founder and Board Member of Rockhouse Foundation which is committed to improving the human condition of Jamaica’s children. He also does group mentoring at a halfway house for young people who have aged out of foster care in NY City.
